There are many different ministries that make up the whole of the Dream Center, and I was placed in the children's ministry. This involves doing office work and cleaning throughout the week, and going out with food trucks to project sites throughout LA. We go out and just really love on the kids from these sites, play some games with them, give them a Bible lesson, and just be there for them the same time and day every week. These kids come from broken homes and very dangerous neighborhoods, so it is important that we can show them God's love and that there is hope in what looks like a devastating situation. Kid's ministry also involves working in the Kids church during Sunday church services and Thursday night services....so needless to say it is a rare privilege to be able to catch a church service. God has just been showing me the importance of giving of my time, because He has blessed us in order to be a blessing. I have been stretched and challenged in many areas and God has been giving me a hunger for Him. I find the more i seek Him the more I want to know Him. I am learning to turn to God as my first move when I have struggles and disappointments, it is not always easy but I am trying to make Him my source of strength. Anyways that's just a little bit of what has been going on in my life down here. I hope everything is well back at Westside, talk to you soon.
